The AQR Group (Regional Quantitative Analysis) is integrated in the Department of Econometrics, Statistics and Spanish Economy at the University of Barcelona and as a research unit in the Barcelona Science Park (PCB). The Barcelona Science Park is an essential part of the scientific, technological and business system developed by the University of Barcelona, with the support of the Caixa Catalunya and the Fundació Bosch i Gimpera. The main objective of the Park is to create a context in which to promote synergy between public research groups and business R+D+I units, thereby boosting technological innovation through basic research.

The AQR Group, with more than thirty researchers and twenty years of experience, has been recognized by the Generalitat de Catalunya (the regional government) as a group of quality and excellence in economic research.

The main research activity of the group is in applied economy, specially focused on the analysis of urban and regional economic analysis.
