I completed my degree in Geography at the University of Extremadura in 2003, and  I was a Ph. D. student in the Group of Climatology at the University of Barcelona during the 2005-2008 period. Nowadays,  I am a researcher at the Climate Research Laboratory (Barcelona Science Park).

My research interests are the homogenisation and temporal variability and trends analysis of cloudiness and sunshine duration series over the Iberian Peninsula and Europe, with their spatial and temporal variations during the 20th century. Also I am interested in weekly periodicities detection in climate variables linked to anthopogenic activities . Recently I started a new research topic related to data rescue and long-term series analyses in the framework of the Salvà-Sinobas project. 

Thesis investigations were under the supervision of Dr. Javier Martin-Vide (University of Barcelona) and Dr. Josep Calbó (University of Girona), and were funded by the Ministry of Education and Science (MEC) of Spain with the NUCLIER and NUCLIEREX projects and with the FPU program for young researchers. At this moment my reseach is funded by Dr. Mariano Barriendos.
