I completed my degree in Geography at the
University of Extremadura in 2003 and defended my PhD thesis at
the University of Barcelona in 2009. Nowadays, I am a researcher at the Climate
Research Laboratory (Barcelona Science Park).
My research interests are the
homogenization
and temporal variability and trends analysis of cloudiness and sunshine duration
series over the Iberian Peninsula and Europe, with their spatial and
temporal variations during the 20th century.
Also I am interested in weekly periodicities detection in climate
variables linked to anthropogenic activities. Recently I started a new
research topic related to data rescue and long-term series analyses in
the framework of a Spanish climate reconstruction project.
The PhD thesis research
were
under the supervision of Dr.
Javier Martin-Vide (University of Barcelona) and Dr.
Josep Calbó (University of Girona), and were funded by the Ministry
of Education and Science (MEC) of Spain with the
NUCLIER and
NUCLIEREX projects.
At this moment my research is funded by
Salvà-Sinobas project lead by Dr. Mariano Barriendos.
