El nostre interés
principal és l'estudi de les relacions entre els filums de metazous
basant-nos en la informació històrica continguda en les
seves seqüències de DNA, l'objectiu final és poder
compendre l'origen de la bilateralitat i de la gran diversitat de filums
animals existents. Altres àrees d'interès són la filogènia
interna dels Platyhelmints i la dels Triclads.
Our primary research interest is the study of relationships
among metazoan phyla using the historical information contained in their
molecular sequence data, the aim is to understand the origin of bilaterality
and of the great variety of animal phyla. Other areas of interest are Platyhelminthes
high-level phylogeny, and Triclads phylogeny.
