I. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degrees

Doctorate in Psychology obtained on the 28th July 1998. Thesis: "Effects of the dextro-chlorpheniramine antihistamine on the human auditory attention”. Thesis director: Prof. Miquel Sánchez-Turet. Unanimous qualification of the five examiners: A "Cum Laude". President of the examining board: Prof. Julio Vallejo-Ruiloba (University of Barcelona).

Postgraduate course in “Psychobiology of Sleep”. Organised by the Department of Psychiatry and Clinical Psychobiology of the Universitat de Barcelona and the Department of Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology from the Hospital Clinic i Provincial de Barcelona. Academic year 1993.

University degree in Psychology (BA), obtained at the Universitat de Barcelona (U.B.) (University of Barcelona) in July of 1992.

 

II. ACADEMIC ACTIVITY

  • Lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry and Clinical Psychobiology of the Faculty of Psychology of the Universitat of Barcelona since May 1993. Lecturing in the following subjects:

Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute of the University of California at Berkeley (USA).

The collaboration was established with Dr. Mark d'Esposito. February to August of 2005. Funded by the project PR2004-0457 (Ministry of Science and Education of the Spanish Government). Our coolaborative work was focused on the study of the functional connectivity of the hippocampus in non-demented elderly carrying the APOE E4 allele .

Institut Nationale de la Santé et la Recherce Médicale (INSERM). U280: Mental Processes and Brain Activation (France).

The collaboration was established with Dr. M.H. Giard. Our collaborative work was related to the knowledge of the neurophysiological mechanisms of auditory perception, by using MMN and P3a ERPs. May-July of 1997. Funded by the “Comissionat per a Universitats i Rercerca” (Agency of Universities and Research of the Catalan Government).
